The Harrison Four playing “Sleepovers” at the Charm City Art Space in Baltimore, MD on January 10th, 2012.
More videos here.
Here’s a video of that song I last posted being played by The Harrison Four.
I wrote and recorded this song just under a month ago. Here ya go internetz.
Sleepovers
Biking around downtown in the cold
Spiraling in 4 food wide circles on Lamont
No where to go and no one to call
Just a few sheets of paper and my own head to crawl into
I got a full key ring with no open doors
Can I crash at your place tonight? I just need a floor
The reminiscing has been killing me
I don’t know what burns worse, whiskey or the memories
These streets tell so many stories
I couldn’t hope to hear them all
Faded memories I still hold close to me
I love waking up to you
I love waking up to you
Walking down 18th huddled in the cold
If this city’s leaking water then I guess we are the mold
Two friends rocking the sinking ship of youth
I’m not distressed as long as I got you
With other people I never know what to say
The relentless sense of sincerity
And security that you give to me
I hope it always stays that way
Your eyes tell so many stories
I couldn’t hope to hear them all
Faded memories I still hold close to me
I love waking up to you
I love waking up to you
The east coast raised me all bitter longing and hopeful
For a future that’s never gana come
The west coast broke me
I don’t know if I know how to be loved
Drunken epiphanies in DC, in Vancouver,
In my parents house serve to show ourselves
What we’re really all about
And that we’re good and we deserve to be loved
I love waking up to you
I love waking up to you
She said, “The east coast raised me all bitter longing and hopeful
For a future that’s never gana come
The west coast broke me
I don’t know if I know how to be loved.”
[inaudible over dramatized crying noises]
The east coast raised me all bitter longing and hopeful
For a future that’s never gana come
The west coast broke me
I don’t know if I know how to be loved
And it sounds just like a broken record
East side, west side man whatever.
Man whatever.
Man whatever!
i did this instead of going to church!
merry christmas to all the romantics, the broken hearted, the pagans, and the devout alike.

I’ve been recording a lot lately. Putting together a tour demo from my upcoming tour with Madeline Ava and Jake Lazovick. This song is on it. It’s about masturbation, and other things.
Yeah.
Note to self: only record demos of your songs when you’re really tired, or really sick, or both.
I recorded a song I wrote last spring while sitting on the porches of the 3rd Street Co-op. I didn’t have any paper so I wrote the lyrics on both of my thighs. I biked all the way down Georgia Avenue, from Eckington to Takoma, worrying the whole time the ink on my legs would run, and of course it did, and some of the original words were lost. I got home sometime after 4 AM, in that grey, hazy, overcast state where you’re not sure what you’re closer to, night or day, and as the birds start singing, you realize you’re not sure how long they’ve been singing for, and you’re not sure if you can lay your head down on your bed before the sun pierces your eyes…but luckily this was at Bananarchy #1, and I slept in the basement.
Anywho, this song’s called “Notes On My Skin.” It’s about not being able to be close to the people you want to be close to…in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
Monday Feb 14 05:26pmWhoa! A year ago was my first acoustic show! With imissedyou, Joe Mangum, Madeline Ava, Jake Lazovick, and Spoonboy. That was a good show.
Only one daily audio upload now allowed by tumblr? I begin this tumblr with a “FUCK YOU TUMBLR!” The RIAA is watching you masturbate and hate America.
I re-recorded a demo of “New Hair Cut,” a song Tom and I wrote together (I wrote most of the lyrics, he wrote most of the music) for our band that, may or may not ever actually start, BUT, we would theoretically rock your socks on, or off. whichever is to your liking. because we don’t like violating people’s comfort zones.

Hey internet! I made a CD. I uploaded it, then I made a bunch of edits and added a sample and included lyrics and album art (photo cred sunmakesflowers), so now i’m re-re-reuploading it. I probably wouldn’t have put this together if tommyconvicted hadn’t convinced me to, so he gets producer credits. COOL!
